Carpet cleaning
Can my carpets be walked on straight away?
At times carpets can be dry within a 30-minute period, however the fibre type (composition) will dictate how much water is absorbed. Wool for instance can absorb up to 30% of it’s own body weight and still feel dry to the touch.
Do your products contain detergent?
All of our tried and tested products are non-detergent, non-harmful to human life and pets. In addition the products we use are environmentally safe, which give natural assurance where concerned.
How frequently should be carpets be cleaned?
We recommend carpets to be cleaned at least every 12 months. The amount of traffic within your homes, offices or premises will determine how much soiling is sustained over a period of time, let alone changes in weather, spills or accidents along the way.
Upholstery Cleaning
Can my upholstery be wet cleaned?
Upholstery can be made from lots of different fibres, some can be very delicate such as silk and viscose which require sensitive care. Prior to any cleaning being conducted, relevant tests will be made to identify and find the correct, safe course of action. It is not always necessary to carry out high level moisture cleaning.
Do you clean every part of the furniture?
Where possible, we clean every inch of your soft furnishings, this is a thorough process, which can take a great deal of time. Using the best tools, we ensure all areas are vacuumed prior to any product being applied.
My sofa has two cushions on the base, does this make it a two seater?
Dimensions will determine how many people can comfortably sit on your sofa, we typically charge by size and it does help to know these dimensions along with fibre type, or where you purchased your furniture from, this will enable us to locate and gather information prior to our arrival, pictures obviously are a great aid to us if achievable.
Carpet repairs
Will the repair be strong enough?
All repairs are tested prior to our departure, we ensure our repairs are as clean and blended as possible and more importantly, ready to be walked on and safely vacuumed over without any disturbance immediately .
Will the underlay need replacing?
Depending on the nature of the affected area, at times if penetrated through the backing and into the underlay this may require a replacement patch in addition. All cases are different and assessed upon inspection.
What if I don’t have a donor piece?
If a visible area has damage and requires a replacement patch, a donor patch can be taken from an inconspicuous area, such as inside of an electrical cupboard, loft, under large pieces of furniture or from a hidden area.
End of tenancy
Is work documented and how is this forwarded on?
All of our work is documented and sent through via email. This makes life easier for our customers, who then can forward straight to their agents, or their landlord as proof of professional cleaning and additional works conducted.
Can all work be conducted in one day?
Our aim is to carry out all work within your given timeframe, however prior notice is preferable, to enable us to liaise with specific task members to ensure their availability. At times, we can dedicate days required for individual tasks.
How is pricing calculated and broken down?
Professional carpet cleaning is charged by area size versus time on task (which ever works out cheapest). General cleaning is charged on an hourly rate. Professional oven cleaning is charged by type of oven. Window cleaning by number of windows, size and accessibility.
What services are offered?
Professional carpet cleaning, pesticide treatment, general cleaning, oven cleaning and window cleaning.
Will I need to be present?
You do not need to be present during our cleaning process. Prior to our arrival, an in house inspection is advisable, arranging collection of keys and returning upon completion, we appreciate this may happen within your working hours, so we aim to assist as much as we can.
How can I pay, and when is payment due?
Payment can be made by bank transfer, cheque or a pre arranged method. All payments are due on completion of works, or issue of invoice, and should be paid within a minimum of 48 hours, to avoid further admin charges being applied. These details are on the bottom of our invoices, along with payment details.
What happens if I need to cancel?
We understand that things can crop up and life can change at a moments notice. If less than 48 hours notice is given, there will be a 50% charge,. This is to cover loss of bookings, as it is deemed too late to fill that appointment slot. If you wish to change the date of your clean, a 50% charge will be required and deducted on the day of your clean. We thank you for your understanding in this.
